Isuzu has big plans for the pickup truck market. With the company’s continuous commitment to manufacturing top tier diesel engines and environment safe vehicles that does not disappoint when it comes to economic performance, there is no doubt it will grow its current market share.
The following Isuzu models scheduled for release in 2014 will definitely strengthen the company’s standing in the automotive industry.
This new MU-7 model shall borrow the Chevrolet Trailblazer platform. However, it is expected to be more rugged than the Chevy. Isuzu plans to position this new model as a luxury SUV. It is designed to embody a strong off road prowess.
The company is likely to abandon the traditional leaf spring rear suspension of the previous model. Instead, the new Mu-7 may be designed with a coil spring to give in a sedan like handling. The 2014 Isuzu Mu-7 will possibly carry a 3L turbodiesel.
Making an impression with the current model, the new model of D-Max will possibly carry the same 3L engine with an option between automatic gearboxes and five-speed manual. The new D-Max is expected to deliver in both power and torque that can withstand a hostile terrain. Being a pick-up specialist, Isuzu is expected to once again deliver with this new model.
In addition to its pickup and SUV lineup, Isuzu is also a well known maker of medium and heavy-duty trucks. The Isuzu Trooper and Panther have also graced specific markets in Asia. As of yet, there are no news or spy shots with other incoming models of Isuzu for scheduled release in 2014.
The company is taking over a facility in Sri City in Andhra Pradesh, India. This will be the new location for manufacturing the new models of MU-7 Alterra and D-Max. Operation shall resume in 2014.
The company may have plans underway depending on the outcome of the new two models. For now, the adventurous can expect the launch and release of the all new MU-7 Alterra and D-Max in 2014. We await further announcements regarding the plans for other new models.
